Santa Fe Pocket Calendars
The Santa Fe Railway began publishing the pocket or wallet sized calendars in 1934. Earlier years had graphics that varied but most consisted of advertising various train services, destinations, equipment or safety.
In 1950, the pocket calendars image matched the full sized wall calendar for the first time but in 1951,52 train images were again used. Then, the 1953 image again matched the wall calendar and the company continued with that format until they along with the wall calendars were permanently discontinued in 1993.
The following list and photos may sometime contain two different types of calendars for a specific year that apparently were produced by separate departments within the company.
You will notice that 1935, 1937 are missing from this collection. If you have one you'd like to donate or sell, please contact me at dlbriscoe1@gmail.com.
